Gran Fondo – 170 KM

Gravel del Fuego Gran Fondo format, is an experience of Gran Fondo Gravel, high speed, safe roads and overwhelming landscapes.

Gran Fondo will make you live an experience of pedaling 170 kilometers on a little-traveled gravel in Patagonia Magallanica; accompanied by flora, fauna and a mix of pampas and mountains. Cordillera Paine will follow you on the horizon as you move towards the outlet of Lago Maravilla into Lago Toro with views of the hills Tenerife and Castillo.

Just as you will start the same route of the Sprint Race to the town of Cerro Castillo, you will finish it from Cerro Tenerife to Puerto Natales, sharing views towards Cordillera Prat, Laguna Sofia, Cueva del Milodon, Fiordo and Puerto Prat through a rolling gravel road with many steep slopes, to finally join the cement road that takes you directly to the Plaza de Armas of Puerto Natales.

The Gran Fondo route spans 170 kilometers of little-traveled gravel roads in the stunning landscapes of the Magellanic Patagonia. This journey offers an unparalleled mix of scenery that combines the open plains with mountains, accompanied by the rich flora and fauna of the region.

Start your adventure by following the Sprint Race route towards the village of Cerro Castillo, enjoying views of the Cordillera Paine on the horizon. From Cerro Castillo, the route continues towards Bahía el Bote, crossing challenging rolling gravel terrain with multiple climbs on the way to the mouth of Lago Maravilla at Lago Toro. Along this stage, the imposing presence of the Tenerife and Castillo hills will accompany your journey; you’ll witness the beauty of Cordillera Prat, Laguna Sofía, the mystical Cueva del Milodón, and the Fjord and Puerto Prat.
